Lisa, your guide

Hello and welcome to YouJjayi Life with me, Lisa Heath, BScHons in Medical Physiology, trainee breathwork and meditation instructor with JustBreathe; health hack researcher and sustainable-life enthusiast. 🌟

I began meditating regularly at 22 when I discovered Raja Yoga meditation (I'm now 58). I am an enthusiastic sort of person, so sitting still doesn't come naturally, but over the years I've discovered all sorts of ways to make a meditation mindset work, even for those with an excitable personality.

I took up yoga at 30 and have been taught its various breathwork practices  over the years. Recently, I have been doing a more focused breathwork set, using techniques from yoga as well as those learned from online sessons and books. I've also been incorporating breathing techniques into my sports practices, aiming to breathe slower, from the belly, and through the nose when jogging, hiking and mountain biking.  It really does make a difference!

I am very excited to be studying to become a breathwork and meditation instructor, as these are my favourite subjects and I have long held a dream of teaching meditation especially.

I hope to be shortly bringing these practices to you.  In the meantime, I am sharing some things I've learned along the way on my instagram and facebook accounts, and I'd love for you to join me there.💛
